Likelihood of Back Pain with Truckers
Truck drivers have 2.3 more times likely to have lower back pain then other people involved with other occupational jobs/activities.
There was a study that was conducted that involved 400 truckers and 65% of those drivers reported that they have lower back pain.
Prevention
There are some ways to help prevent back pain if you have not noticed any pain or irritation yet. Even if a trucker has this can help lessen the pain. Some of these include working out regularly this can help muscles not tighten up as much. Nutrition helps as well by eating certain foods like kale, broccoli, and spinach. Lastly, having better posture while driving can help tremendously.
Causes of Back Pain
There are many factors that can lead to lower back pain. Some of these include smoking, improper lifting, and lack of exercise. With lack of exercise that means that those muscles are not being used. With the muscles not being used that means it will cause irritation within the those certain muscles.
