Equipment

  • 1 Microwave can be modified for oven or air fryer. If making in oven or air fryer, multiply recipex 4 and put into safe brownie pan or silicon insert
  • 1 mug

Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 cup almond flour
  • 1/4 cup protein powder can use any kind! chocolate protein powder recommended.
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 egg or 1/4 cup coconut or avocado oil, or melted butter.
  • water or milk to thin it out to a batter texture
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract optional
  • 1 tbsp mini chocolate chips optional. we used a low added sugar variety from Walmart, with 2g added sugar, called Endangered Species brand.

Instructions
 

  • Stir all ingredients well into microwave or air fryer safe mug or bowl
  • Cook for 2-5 minutes (check halfway), then let cool. It will be very moist like a brownie, not a cake texture!
  • Enjoy!

Notes

The almond flour and protein powder provide a good source of protein and healthy fats.
