Are You Ready to Improve Your Health?

Achieving Optimal Health is a complicated process, and is often overlooked in conventional treatment methods.

The problem is, it is much easier to take a pill for a symptom, then it is to dig for the root cause and correct that dysfunction which could potentially alleviate your symptoms.

But eventually a pill  may no longer fix the symptoms, and another pill is required. Then those 2 pills stop working, and another one is added. This process continues until you are tired of chasing symptoms and instead you want answers.

This is where we come in.

In our nutrition counseling service, we guide/support you with making nutrition changes, educate on nutrition related chronic conditions, and/or discuss ways to best fuel your body. We spend time discovering YOUR needs, learn about YOUR goals, and what YOU want to achieve with improving your nutrition intake. Nutrition is individualized - each person has different needs and preferences.

We take a look at 5 Main Components of your life to create a dedicated protocol to fit your needs:

1

Nutrition

At the root of all functions of the body are the nutritional components needed to keep the body well. Each person has different needs to feel their best.

2

Movement

Your body is designed to move. Movement moves fluids, circulates nutrients, strengthens tissues, and so much more. A sedentary life can be a precursor to disease.

3

Rest & Recovery

We cannot continuously push ourselves without taking the time to rest and recover. Every single being on this planet needs rest. It is at rest that the body recovers appropriately.

4

Mindset

The way we perceive the world and all of our daily interactions can play a huge part in our overall health.

5

Stress Management

We have never dealt with this constant influx of stress in our entire history. Stress takes over the systems of the body, which puts some important systems (like digestion) to the side until stress in handled.

Equipment Needed for a Balanced Eating Kit

No one on the DHF team receives any kickback from the product links listed. We included links of products we are familiar with and know that they will work well.

Check out this link for some driver recommended cleaning tips and tricks

Microwave

If you can have any type of cooking equipment on your truck this is my top pick!

That is because the microwave is able to take on the task of cooking most foods well. I have weeks of recipes built up using just the microwave for cooking!

If you have the extra cash I would highly recommend getting a Galanz 3-in-1. Some invertors cannot manage the air fryer capabilities but you will still be able to use the microwave and oven capabilities!

Fridge, preferably with freezer space

Coolers can do a whole lot, but a fridge with a freezer space is able to handle meal prep capabilities. Making a couple meals at a time and being able to store those is one of the best ways to avoid eating out

Image

Food grade cleaning wipes for cleaning dishes, fruit and veggies

These are great because they cut cleaning time down drastically and you do not have to rinse with water or use a water+soap combo to clean your dishes! Definitely a truck friendly tool.

3-5 glass meal prep containers with sealing lids

Making a meal that lasts a couple of days is great but what about storage after??

Glass meal prep containers are perfect for that because they have sealing lids so you won't have a mess after driving on bumpy roads and they are heat safe so you can actually cook in them as well!

Paper plate, bowls, utensils

If you are not going to use glass containers then be sure to have a stack of reusable dishes to cook on

Water bottle

Water bottles are GREAT because they help you to avoid getting packaged calorie containing beverages like sodas. Feel free to use flavoring packets to snazz up your water.

Did you know that slight dehydration is a big risk factor for overeating? General recommendations are to drink about half your body weight in oz each day

Try the link below for a water bottle with time markers to help you be aware of how much water you are taking in.

Re-usable or Ziplock bags

Baggies are a great way to prep snack portions to avoid overeating, or to store leftovers in a SUPER space saving way!

There are also re-usable bags for a way to save money long term and reduce trash

Image

Paper towels

Paper towels or a cloth with cleaning spray is essential for clean up post cooking
Image

Parchment paper

Not essential, but really helpful in reducing clean up time!
Image

Can opener

Canned goods are a great way to continue to get nutrient dense food even when you run out of fridge/freezer space.

But lots of cans don't have a pull-tab so make sure to invest in a can opener so you are not left with food you cannot access

Image

Oven mitt

Even though the majority of the my recipes just need a microwave to cook the containers get pretty toasty to be prepared with an oven mitt so you don't drop a hot dish of food!

Colander & Cutting Board

I promote a lot of steamer bags of veggies and other recipes that require cooking in water so grab a colander to drain off any extra water easily.

And I occasionally have recipes that require some cutting so click the link below to get a handy-dandy cutting board with a colander built in!

Instapot, hot logic lunchbox, crockpot or electric gridle

Again, the most important and versatile cooking appliance for drivers is the microwave but if you have room on your truck to for any of the above appliances go for it!
