Buffalo Roasted Chickpeas
Have you ever tried roasting chickpeas before? These beans when roasted in the oven or air fryer transform into the perfect afternoon snack that is packed with protein and fiber to help satisfy your cravings and stabilize your blood sugar levels throughout the day. Add these crunchy chickpeas to your salads, trail mix, or eat on its own as a snack.
Ingredients
- 2 15 ounce cans garbanzo beans (chickpeas) drained and rinsed
- 3 tbsp hot sauce
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425 F or heat air-fryer to 370 F. If roasting in the oven, line a pan with parchment paper for easy cleanup and to prevent chickpeas from sticking to the pan.
- Drain, rinse and dry the chickpeas once removed from the cans.
- Add chickpeas to a bowl and stir in the sauces and seasonings until evenly coated.
- Lay chickpeas in a single layer on the baking sheet or in the air fryer.
- Bake for 20 minutes and stir chickpeas. Return to the oven or air fryer to continue baking for another 20 minutes.
- Remove from the oven, let cool, and store in an airtight container at room temperature for the week.
