Here is a super simple bulgogi marinade recipe and details on how to cook the meat. Did you know bulgogi means "fire meat" in Korean? Traditionally this is made with soy sauce but we used half soy sauce and half coconut nectar to cut down on the sodium content but still have GREAT flavor.

Marinade

  • Assemble all of the marinade ingredients in a jar, shake until combined. Can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. Can be used for a salad dressing!

Cooking process

  • If you are going to cook this with meat, combine with thin sliced meat of choice in a large ziploc bag. Store in fridge overnight, or for at least 1 hour.
  • In a skillet or pan, heat olive oil over medium heat, add carrots and onions and cook for about 5 minutes or until a little tender.
  • Add meat and stir occasionally. The meat should be done it under 10 minutes. Portion out into 4-6 servings!
