Bean Burger
Dairy free and optional egg-free burger.
Equipment
Ingredients
- 2 (14.5 oz) cans black beans or pinto, or lentils. rinsed and drained
- 2 tbsp ground flaxseed
- 2 whole eggs OR switch out for 3 tbsp of ground flax with 2 tbsp warm water. allow to set and gel up first.
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp umami mushroom seasoning
- salt to taste
- pepper to taste
- cooking spray, oil, or butter
Instructions
- Place beans in bowl and mash with a fork or the back of a spoon.
- Mix in the flaxseed, eggs and seasoning.
- Let rest a couple minutes to let it firm a bit. While waiting, heat skillet on hot plate on medium-high (350 degrees). Spay skillet with cooking spray.
- Form into patties with hands and place in skillet. Cook on each side about three minutes or until golden brown. Enjoy!
