Cherry green smoothie
Cherries, especially tart cherries, spinach, and ginger in this recipe all contain potent anti-inflammatory compounds. Fat and protein sources round out this smoothie to make a balanced breakfast.
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1 cup cherries frozen, try the berry cherry frozen blend. The berries are very good for you as well as the cherries.
- 1 cup spinach Just grab a big handful
- 2 tbsp almond butter
- 1 tsp pureed ginger Buy the tube of pureed ginger, in the produce section to cut down on prep time
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- Blend all the ingredients. Add water or ice cubes if too thick for your preference
