Guilt-Free Delight Brownies
Enjoy these rich, delicious brownies with peace of mind—no need to worry about blood sugar spikes! Thanks to the almond flour's healthy fats and protein, they help keep your sugar absorption steady. Your A1C will appreciate the choice! If making in the microwave, divide the recipe in 1/4 and put in a microwave safe mu or bowl.
Equipment
- 1 Oven can be modified for microwave or air fryer.
- 1 bowl
- 1 pan 9x9 or 8" round pan. Or air fryer silicon insert.
- 1 spoon
- cooking spray sub parchment paper
Ingredients
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1/3 cup protein powder can use any kind! chocolate protein powder recommended.
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 egg or 1/3 cup coconut or avocado oil, or melted butter.
- 1 tsp vanilla extract optional
- 3 tbsp mini chocolate chips optional. we used a low added sugar variety from Walmart, with 2g added sugar, called Endangered Species brand.
Instructions
- Preheat oven or air fryer to 350 degrees F. Grease an 8-in pan or line with parchment paper.
- Stir all ingredients well. Spread into pan evenly with spoon.
- Bake 10- 20 minutes (check at 10 because air fryers can cook fast!), then let cool. They firm up as they cool, and they are best served after having been refrigerated.
- Or divide the recipe by a fourth and pour into 2 microwave safe mugs and microwave until set.
